Differentials in the consumption of Lithothamnion seaweed

Are you aware of the amount of nutrients you should ingest on a daily basis? In addition, if so, do you worry where these nutrients come from? Did you know that nutrients from different sources have different characteristics?

So, it is. In addition to being aware of the amount of nutrients we ingest, we also need to think about other questions: is the product vegan? Is it organic and not genetically modified? Does it have high bioavailability? Does your extraction/manufacturing respect the environment?

The seaweed Lithothamnion sp. is a calcareous algae of the corallinacea family, belonging to the group of red algae. Calcareous algae are the organisms that most accumulate calcium carbonate in their interior, being compose in addition to calcium and magnesium carbonate, by more than 70 other minerals needed by the human body, such as iron (Fe), Boron (B), Potassium (K), Manganese (Mn), Zinc (Zn), Molybdenum (Mo), Silicon (Si), Phosphorus (P) and Strontium (Sr).

The consumption of only 3g of Lithothamnion sp. guaranteed:

- Approximately 95% of calcium needs;

- 33% of daily magnesium requirements;

The nutrients present in Lithothamnion sp. have high bioavailability, highlighting the high absorption of calcium by our body. The bioavailability of calcium present in Lithothamnion sp. is greater than 86%, while calcium from oysters and calcium carbonate from mineral sources, for example, have approximately 27 and 70%, respectively.

In addition, Litholife performs its extraction in a sustainable way, respecting the environment. The extractions is carried out at a depth between 14 and 25 meters and 50 kilometers off the coast, in the state of Maranhão. Only non-live algae are collected, contributing to the maintenance of live marine algae and the ecosystem where they are located.

Lithothamnion sp. is still characterized by being a 100% natural, vegan, organic and non-genetically modified product.
